Configuring the default network

How do I configure the network? or a secondary network?

Prerequisites

  • Infuse-IoT Embedded SDK Installed
  • Suitable Infuse-IoT hardware

Network (primary)

Configuring the default network an Infuse-IoT device uses dependins on whether the application is a full release or a debug build. CONFIG_INFUSE_SECURITY_DEFAULT_NETWORK is the KConfig symbol used to specify the default network credentials to use (and is a path to the network key .yaml file).

By default CONFIG_INFUSE_SECURITY_DEFAULT_NETWORK is configured to the default network key default_network.yaml. Great for quick debugging but not secure for normal use. It's easy enough to create your own network, and use a different key instead. To use it:

  1. Navigate to the application's prj.conf you want to use the network key.
  2. Add (or modify) CONFIG_INFUSE_SECURITY_DEFAULT_NETWORK and set it to the path of the desired network key metadata file.
  3. Build and flash the application as normal.
